In 1999, Rapture Ministries set up a Saturday supplementary school in order to provide extra curricular help to children in the south London area. It is part of Revd. Stephenson’s vision to establish a purpose-built. Christian school that will cater for children from nursery through to applying to university.

The Ministry is currently looking for its own building which will form the core of the proposed Christian academy. Furthermore, Revd. Stephenson is waiting to fulfil a vision to establish a Rapture children's’ ministry. She believes that children have a distinct ministry – a powerful one which must be seen and. With God’s assistance, she believes this country will be taken by storm by such a ministry. She is determined to go forward in Jesus’ name.

We aim to create a friendly caring atmosphere for students, parents and guardians. As a caring team we will create a safe environment and meet the spiritual, physical, psychological and social needs of the both the students and their parents/guardians. We also seek to prepare students mentally and psychologically to cope with the demands of life in a multi-cultural society.

We realise that each student is unique and has individual needs. The provision of teaching is accomplished on a continuos weekly basis. An individualised approach is adopted by regular assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of those subjects taught.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to be actively involved in the education programme of their child/children as well as helping with the smooth running of the school.
We facilitate continuity of care through open communication with other Saturday Supplementary Schools.

The qualified staff seeks to create a supportive working and learning environment for all students and they are provided with the appropriate teaching resources to enable then to help students learn in an environment conducive to effective learning.

We value the support of the parents/guardians to help us develop their child’s/children’s skills and knowledge and will regularly liase with them. We know that without their support we are limited in what we can achieve.

We feel as a group of individuals a sense of humour is essential in proportion, because through humour, stress can be both shared and thus reduced.

We are a Christian Community, which is committed to:

Mutual Respect, positive encouragement and participation.

Meeting the personal and educational needs of all pupils.

The highest standard of teaching, learning and performance.

Maintaining a supportive partnership with parents, churches, schools and the local community.

This scheme, again was launched over eight years ago when Rev Emy Stephenson was a member of New Testament Church of God, Lambeth Road. This passion to help the single mothers/fathers on low income. Thus allowing them to continue with their employment during the holiday has become a life saver for many. The registration fee of £5.00 is very affordable to many and we have continuous reports to expand to every school holiday. This is a burning desire of the ministry and very much anticipate as God blesses us with our own building.
