Joseph Stephenson
|
 |
Minister
Joseph Stephenson is the Husband of
the founder Reverend Emy Stephenson
formerly known as Reverend Emy Edwards.
Joseph has been going to Ghana from
1991, and describes Ghana as a peaceful
and Beautiful country with the people
of Ghana as being very friendly. Ghana
was a major slave port with its transportation
of slaves throughout the Caribbean.
Joseph feels very much a part of the
country and looks forward to the return
when given the opportunity. |
Alongside Minister Joseph, his sister co-ordinates
the work in Ghana she runs an eighteen classroom
school in Accra. Rapture Ministries are now
sponsoring the orphaned children who have
been left without parents because of the terrible
disease Aids. Rapture Ministries are working
alongside various other Ministries, and have
a message to reach the lost at any cost. "We
Cannot do everything but by the Grace of God
and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can
do all things through Christ which strengthens
us"
 |
 |
Ghana
has been a life changing experience
for Minister Joseph where he witnessed
for himself homelessness and sickness,
and a hunger for the word of God. Minister
Joseph describes it as "The hunger
that the people have for the Lord surpasses
his understanding" people walk
miles to come to Church. |
The Children of Ghana benefit from the charitable
donations of books, writing materials, and
sundries that are brought in to benefit the
school. When in Ghana Minister Joseph teaches
basic Math's and English to some of the under
privilege children.
 |
 |
There
has been a major improvement in the
learning abilities of some of the pupils,
they are not only speaking English they
are also reading and writing in English.
Rapture Ministries hope to give some
of the people in the remote parts of
the country the opportunity to develop
in these areas of literacy. |
As
well as teaching Bible studies Minister Joseph
goes out to win the lost realising that when
Christ came he came and ministered to the
Whole man feeding the spiritually, physically
and emotionally. |
